Township of Rideau Lakes

The Township of Rideau Lakes has many strengths and its opportunities for the future rest in the diversity of its population, economic activity and geography.

Farming, tourism, and service industries form the backbone of the local economy.

A top drawing card is the abundance of scenic lakes and the fact that Rideau Canal and Waterway (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) passes directly through the community.
