**Role Description**
The Deskside Support Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Oslo, responsible for providing hands-on technical support to end users. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, installing and configuring workstations and peripherals, and ensuring that devices and applications are functioning optimally. The technician will respond to service requests, document incidents and resolutions, and escalate complex issues when needed. The role also involves collaborating with IT teams, supporting system updates and rollouts, and maintaining a high standard of customer service and communication. The technician will contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and suggesting practical solutions to enhance the user experience.
**Qualifications**
- Strong Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and common enterprise applications.
- Solid foundation in Information Technology, including operating systems (Windows, macOS), basic networking concepts, and IT best practices.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with end users, documenting tickets, and collaborating with cross-functional IT teams.
- Experience working with Software installation, configuration, updates, and basic application support.
- Relevant education such as an IT-related certificate, vocational training, or a degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently in a fast-paced on-site environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to clear, respectful, and solution-oriented support.
- Experience in field services or corporate IT environments and familiarity with ITIL-based service management are beneficial.
