Stillingsbeskrivelse

**About Six Robotics**

*At Six Robotics, we build intelligent software that gives Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) the ability to collaborate, adapt on the fly, and execute missions that were previously impossible. From our base in Oslo, our 50+ experts in defence, software, and AI develop our flagship autonomy and swarm platform used by both government and industry. In close partnership with the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI), we move fast from concept to live deployment, often in the field alongside end users.*

*We work with advanced hardware and software, a modern tech stack, and missions that demand both technical mastery and operational discipline. Everyone is close to the action, from deep technical problem-solving to field operations. We move fast and value clarity, integrity, and teamwork in everything we do.*

*At Six Robotics, every person executes with precision, adapts to changing conditions, and strengthens the team. Getting in is hard, and you’ll be challenged every day. But if you have the skill, the discipline, and the drive to push your limits and always be sharpening your blade, you’ll find no better place to deliver real-world impact while collaborating and learning from the best in the field.*

**About The Role**

At Six Robotics, our product department is built around a clear flow:
**needs emerge from our customers**
, are shaped into
**product features**
, and are then translated into
**engineering-ready functionality**
. As we scale, we are strengthening our Product Team to own this flow end-to-end. This role will build and own the bridge between these domains, ensuring that what we ship is not driven by ad-hoc requests, but by validated needs from the field, strong technical context, and
**disciplined product decisions.**

**As Product Owner at Six Robotics**
, you will turn complex project needs, field feedback, and long-term strategy into a coherent, executable product direction. This is a hands-on, operational product role at the center of engineering, projects, and real-world UAV operations.

You will help define
**where our software product is going**
. Define
**what gets built**
, and
**why**
, without abstracting away the reality and context the engineering teams need to succeed and understand.

This role is critical in bringing stability, clarity, and long-term focus to how our product evolves, while still adapting to real-world demands from customers, field operations, and live deployments.

You will work closely with the Head of Product, bringing clarity to our Engineering Team Leads, release and project management, acting as the bridge that ensures we build the
***right*
capabilities, at the
*right*
time, for the
*right*
reasons.**

**What You Will Do**

- Translate project and customer requirements into actionable product features: prioritize, scope, and refine features so engineering can execute with clarity and confidence.
- Shape the product roadmap alongside the Head of Product: contribute to the vision, break it down into a detailed plan, and ensure it drives meaningful, deliverable work.
- Bring clarity to engineering to ensure we build the right features: minimize product debt, reduce ad-hoc feature work, and safeguard long-term product quality.
- Own operational product execution: track progress, manage priorities, and follow up on releases to keep product development structured and predictable.
- Maintain product clarity and coherence: oversee trade-offs, dependencies, and release content to ensure each feature delivers real value internally before reaching engineering.
- Validate and refine assumptions in the field: work and test the features with our field teams, to understand real-world performance and feed insights back into product decisions.

**What we are looking for**

We are looking for someone with
**exceptional structure and decision-making skills**
. We believe this person can confidently say no when needed, set direction, and still listen deeply to both the team and the customer.

**You thrive in ambiguity, bringing discipline and method where things feel uncertain**
, and you take ownership not just of your own work, but across teams and interfaces. You are comfortable challenging customers constructively, asking why they want something, and translating that into what is actually feasible and valuable for engineering to build.

At the same time, you are hands-on, willing to dive into the details when necessary, without ever losing sight of priorities or long-term outcomes.

**We believe the right candidate brings**

- Proven experience working on the development of mission-critical software products, with clear ownership from idea to delivery.
- Strong understanding of the full product lifecycle - from requirements and specification to delivery, validation, and iteration.
- Strong background in building software products, with the ability to collaborate with engineers while keeping problems concrete and solvable.
- Experience in structuring and governing product flow - balancing prioritization, planning, dependencies, and release coordination.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex customer needs into clear engineering context, without losing the bigger picture.
- A competitive drive and delivery mindset. You care about outcomes, not just process.
- Fluency in English (Norwegian not required).

**Nice-to-haves:**

- Experience with UAVs, autonomy systems, robotics, or defence-related technology.
- Exposure to hardware-software integrated products or field-deployed systems.

**Why You Should Join**

At Six Robotics, we're not just building software - we're redefining how unmanned systems operate in the real world. If you're driven by meaningful problems, technical depth, and the chance to shape something from the ground up, you'll find your place here.

- **Work on problems that matter**

Our technology helps unlock smarter, safer, and more adaptable UAV operations in defense and industry, solving real challenges with direct, tangible impact.

- **Lead the shift in a hardware-dominated space**

We're bringing modern AI, autonomy, and scalable software into a field that's long relied on rigid, pre-programmed systems, to change how UAVs are designed, deployed, and managed.

- **Build from zero, shape the future**

Join early and help define the core systems, tools, and culture of a company that’s still being built - where your ideas, code, and decisions will have a lasting influence.

- **Work with purpose, supported by great benefits**

You'll be part of a mission-driven team that values clarity, integrity, and collaboration, offering competitive pay, equity potential, strong insurance and pension plans, and ongoing learning opportunities.

**Our Recruitment Process**

- Apply with your CV and contact information.
- If we find your profile interesting, we invite you for a short conversation (30 minutes) with our Recruitment Advisor.
- Afterwards, we invite you to a Meet & Greet with someone from our team.
- In the second interview, you will present a case assignment and go deeper into how you think and work. You will also gain better insight into how we operate, and complete a short personality assessment via Fairsight.
- The final step is a closing conversation with our Head of People.
- We conduct reference checks and then extend an offer.

**Our Commitment to Inclusion**

At Six Robotics, we are committed to creating a workplace built on respect, integrity, and collaboration. We value different perspectives and experiences, and we believe that diversity within our team strengthens both our work and our culture. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply and help us build technology that makes a real impact.

**Security Clearance Requirement**

All employees at Six Robotics are required to undergo a security clearance due to our close collaboration with the Norwegian Armed Forces. While prior clearance is not necessary, the clearance process will be initiated as part of onboarding.
