HSE Engineer

**Responsibilities**

- Perform detailed design and modification tasks on safety systems in projects.
- Handle Passive Fire Protection (PFP), Active Fire Protection (AFP), and Fire and Gas Detection.
- Manage Area Classification, Ignition Source Control, Escape, Evacuation and Rescue (EER), and Safety Integrity Level (SIL).
- Oversee Working Environment and Environmental Care Engineering.
- Conduct interdisciplinary coordination, checks, and verifications.
- Identify and facilitate required risk and verification activities such as HAZID and WEHRA.
- Follow up with clients, vendors, and third parties.
- Provide concise input regarding cost and plan activities for project safety aspects.

Required expertise

- Master's or Bachelor's degree in technical safety or a related discipline; relevant experience can compensate.
- 5-10 years of experience in offshore design and modification work in Norway.
- In-depth knowledge of Ptil requirements, ISO, and NORSOK standards.
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong communication and self-learning skills.
- Fluency in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.

Location: Bergen

Work schedule: Full-time

Duration: Assignment from September 2026 to February 2028
