Join us as Assistant - Shore Excursions
As Assistant - Shore Excursions, you will support the operation of excursions for cruise guests.
This position is initially offered as a one-year contract, with strong potential to transition into a permanent role as Shore Excursions Manager.
As an Assistant - Shore Excursions, you will be:
Assisting a team of Shorex-managers at our offices in the planning and execution of excursions for our clients in the cruise industry.
Assisting in the management of capacities, timings, costs, conditions, and procedures, in practice.
Communicating with suppliers and confirming bookings and details of the agreed products and services.
Performing administrative tasks, including preparation and follow-up related to cruise ship arrivals.
Occasionally traveling to other ports within Norway for site-inspections and to meet with partners, suppliers and clients.
The right candidate:
Prior experience in a service- and/or logistics-related occupation is an advantage.
Preferably prior experience in tourism or the cruise industry, or a transferable skillset
We are looking for candidates who are available and ready to work with us at our offices in Bergen.
A high degree of flexibility with regard to working hours is required.
Work on weekends and outside of typical office hours is to be expected.
We work in English and Norwegian and require fluency in English from candidates.
You should have experience with common office software and possess the ability and interest to learn new software quickly.
Prior experience working in an office environment, including business to business communication and handling a high frequency of e-mails and files, is an advantage.
