Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on a car carrier trading worldwide. You will work closely with the Master and lead the deck team to ensure safe cargo operations and smooth daily running of the vessel.

### **Key Responsibilities**

- Assist the Master in navigation and overall ship management
- Plan, supervise and execute cargo operations for vehicles
- Lead and manage the deck crew in all deck activities
- Ensure safe mooring, unmooring and ship handling support
- Oversee maintenance of deck equipment and safety gear
- Monitor stability, ballast and cargo securing
- Implement and follow safety, environmental and company procedures

### **Requirements**

- Valid Chief Officer (Chief Mate) license, STCW compliant
- Recent experience as C/O or strong 2/O experience on car carriers or Ro-Ro vessels
- Good knowledge of cargo securing and vehicle loading operations
- Valid STCW certificates, medical and other mandatory documents
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Strong leadership, teamwork and safety mindset
