Job Description
Are you a driven and curious communicator who wants to use your skills to make a difference? Then you could be the one we are looking for! Uppsala Region has an important role as a social actor in the expansive Uppsala County and is responsible for, among other things, health and medical care. The Academic Hospital is part of the Uppsala Region and one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. We are now looking for a communicator for a temporary position for at least one year, with the task of providing communication support to the Academic Hospital.
About the role
As a communicator with us, you work closely with the Academic Hospital's operations. You plan, implement and follow up on communication efforts within your areas and projects, in collaboration with the communications manager, communications strategists and other colleagues.
You work operationally to produce target group-adapted content for the hospital's internal and external channels while contributing strategically and proactively to the communication work. An important part of the assignment is to help develop and coordinate the Academic Hospital's communication in social media. You also work in a team with specialists in web, social media, press and graphic production. You are used to supporting project managers and managers in everyday communication challenges and to independently drive your assignments from start to finish.
The position is located within the Uppsala Region's communications and information department. This means that assignments and projects that concern the region as a whole or other administrations may also occur.
Areas of responsibility
As a communicator, your task is to:
plan, implement and follow up on communication efforts within projects and other assignments,
manage ongoing needs and questions that come into the unit,
target group-adapt messages and content for various internal and external channels,
produce and manage content for posts in social media,
advise managers, project managers and clients on communication issues.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
an academic degree in media and communication science, or other
post-secondary education and experience that the employer deems equivalent,
experience of working broadly with communication in a larger organization,
experience of producing target group-adapted content for different channels,
experience of working strategically and operationally with social media, and with content production (text, images, video) for digital channels,
very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish,
experience of writing plain language and knowledge of what it means,
good knowledge of the Office package and experience of web publishing.
It is an advantage if you have experience of communication in the public sector and/or healthcare.
Your qualities
You are confident in your professional role and used to delivering in complex organizations. As a person, you are communicative and find it easy to listen and adapt your way of communicating. You are curious and want to be involved in developing communication work. You thrive in a team-based environment where trust and close cooperation are the focus, while you are comfortable taking responsibility and working independently.
We place great importance on personal qualities. To succeed in the role, we see that you:
are good at structuring, planning and prioritizing in your work,
are responsive, collaborative and have an easy time creating trust and building relationships,
are proactive and solution-oriented,
have the ability to translate goals and strategies into practical communication work.
