The Engineering Management team consists of highly competent and diverse members. We are responsible for executing engineering in our projects and engineering activities related to all our cable systems. The workplace is primarily Halden or Oslo with the possibility to work partially from home office. You will be reporting to department manager Jan Roger Andersen.

To succeed you must enjoy finding solutions to technical and administrative challenges and develop existing technology beyond current limitations. Nexans’ submarine power cables are key in the transition to renewable energy. Cables connect islands to the mainland, transfer energy between nations, and bring green energy from offshore renewables to the grid. We push technological boundaries to go deeper, longer and at higher voltages. We cooperate world-wide with energy companies, research institutions and others to provide turnkey solutions to meet future needs.
**How You Make An Impact**
You will work as an Engineering Manager with an team of engineers reporting to you that performs and follows up all engineering activities related to the scope of work in the project. From design to purchasing, manufacturing, throughout testing, delivery and installation. You will discuss technical challenges and identify solutions. You will follow the Nexans’ Project Execution Modell during the Engineering process. You may also participate in developing efficiencies and take part in improvements relevant to our department. You boost your impact by actively promoting Quality and HSE.
**YOUR STARTING POINT WHEN YOU JOIN**
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering
- 3-5 years’ experience in engineering management
- An innovative and analytical mind
- Like the combination of theoretical and practical work
- In this role the likelihood of succeeding will increase if you are well organized and structured in your work.
- Fluent in Norwegian and English.
