We are looking for a hands-on and proactive HSE Officer to join our construction projects in Norway. You will play a key role in keeping our sites safe, supporting workers and contractors, and ensuring compliance with both legal and company HSE standards. This is a site-based role where you will be visible, engaged, and part of a team that values safety and collaboration.

What You’ll Do

On a typical day, you will walk the site, observe work practices, and identify potential hazards. You will engage with workers, lead safety briefings, and deliver inductions for new team members and visitors. Keeping records, completing checklists, and ensuring all equipment is safe and compliant will also be part of your routine. You will provide guidance and support to supervisors and contractors, coach safe behaviors, and step in when conditions are unsafe. You will assist with incident investigations, support audits, and take part in emergency drills, helping us continuously improve how we work safely.

**Key Responsibilities Include**

- Conducting daily site inspections and safety observations
- Leading HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings
- Maintaining checklists, photographic records, and HSE logs
- Verifying ladders, scaffolding, MEWPs, and lifting equipment
- Coaching and guiding supervisors and subcontractors
- Supporting incident investigations and audits
- Participating in emergency drills and lessons learned sessions

Who We’re Looking For

You have a Bachelor’s degree in HSE or a related field, and certifications like NEBOSH IGC or ISO 45001 are a plus. Ideally, you bring 3–5 years of experience from construction or industrial HSE roles, especially on fast-paced or complex sites. You are proactive, observant, and approachable. You communicate clearly, act decisively when safety is at risk, and enjoy engaging with people on site. You are comfortable using HSE tools and MS Office, and fluent in English. Knowledge of Norwegian HSE regulations is a strong advantage.

**Qualifications & Skills**

- Bachelor’s degree in HSE or related field
- NEBOSH IGC, ISO 45001, or similar certifications (preferred)
- 3–5 years in site-based HSE roles
- Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety audits
- Experience with training, coaching, and engaging site teams
- Proactive, structured, and approachable
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Norwegian HSE regulations is a plus

Why Join Us

You’ll be part of a team that takes safety seriously and values every member’s input. You’ll work on exciting projects, face varied HSE challenges, and have opportunities to grow professionally.
