**About the Role**
The HR function within a leading international industrial organization in EMEA is a strategic partner to the business, supporting employees on a day-to-day basis while creating a highly engaging, productive and rewarding workplace. The function plays a key role in developing talent and working closely with business leaders to deliver strategic objectives.
This newly created HR Business Partner role for the Nordics & Benelux is a broad HR generalist position, covering the full scope of HR activities across multiple countries and employee populations.
The role offers significant autonomy and exposure, with opportunities to contribute not only to regional initiatives but also to wider EMEA projects.
**Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities**
- Act as the primary HR contact for employees and managers across the Nordics & Benelux on all HR and Health, Safety & Wellbeing matters
- Adopt a consultative approach to understand business needs and influence decisions related to organizational design, workforce planning and succession planning
- Support leadership teams with recruitment, onboarding and ongoing talent management
- Manage employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinaries and grievances
- Support and guide managers on performance management, absence management and employee wellbeing
- Coach and develop people managers on HR best practice and people leadership capabilities
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, employment legislation and Health & Safety requirements
- Monitor, analyse and report on HR and H&S metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Coordinate HR data and documentation to support payroll and administrative processes
- Deliver or support training sessions, workshops and employee communications as required
- Build strong working relationships to improve engagement, morale, productivity and retention
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and best practice to minimise risk and ensure compliance
- Support the Head of HR and Management Teams with regional and EMEA-wide projects
- Act as an active member of the EMEA HR community, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Take ownership of personal performance and professional development
- Operate in line with company policies, procedures and ethical standards
- Act as a professional ambassador for the organization at all times
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and regulations
- Undertake any additional reasonable duties in line with business needs
**Required Experience & Skills**
- Minimum
**4 years’ experience**
operating at
**HR Business Partner level**
, ideally in a standalone or field-based role
- Experience supporting sales and service populations strongly preferred
- Solid experience in employee relations, absence management and organizational change
- Exposure to Health & Safety responsibilities is advantageous
- Strong working knowledge of
**Nordic employment law**
; knowledge of Benelux legislation is a plus
- Proven recruitment and interviewing experience across a range of roles
- Experience designing and delivering training or development initiatives
- Strong coaching capability with people managers
- Strategic mindset with experience using KPIs and data to drive improvement
- Good planning, prioritization and project management skills
- IT-literate (Microsoft Office; HR / payroll systems experience desirable)
- Customer-centric approach with the ability to challenge the status quo
**Education & Qualifications**
- Degree-qualified in HR or part-qualified with demonstrable relevant experience
- Health & Safety qualification desirable but not essential
