****Job Description:****
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of electrical engineering projects within utilities operations.
- Oversee development of electrical schematics, specifications, and system layouts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and local electrical codes.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and system performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and cross-functional teams.
- Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across engineering teams.
- Drive innovation, energy efficiency optimization, and reliability improvements.
****Qualifications:****
- Mandatory skills
- Strong knowledge of utility electrical systems (transmission, distribution, substations).
- Expertise in electrical design tools and engineering software (AutoCAD, ETAP or equivalent).
- Experience with safety and regulatory compliance standards.
- Ability to lead engineering teams and large-scale projects.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of smart grid technologies and digital utility solutions.
- Understanding of renewable energy integration and energy storage systems.
- Experience with automation, SCADA, or protection systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
