The Legal Manager is responsible for leading all legal affairs, regulatory compliance, and governance matters across GSM – Xanh SM’s operations in the Norway. This role serves as a strategic legal partner to regional leadership, ensuring legal soundness, risk mitigation, and sustainable business growth in a highly regulated mobility environment.
**Legal Strategy & Advisory**
- Provide strategic legal advice and consultation to the Board of Management and senior leadership on all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters related to Norway operations.
- Anticipate legal risks and proactively propose solutions to support business expansion, market entry, and operational scaling.
**Regulatory Compliance & Governance**
- Interpret, draft, review, and evaluate Norway regulations, laws, policies, internal rules, and governance documents applicable to GSM’s business.
- Ensure full compliance with Norway regulatory frameworks, including but not limited to transportation, mobility services, labor law, data protection (GDPR), competition law, ESG, and consumer protection.
- Design, maintain, and monitor legal compliance checklists for Norway market.
**Contract & Legal Documentation Management**
- Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and review of commercial contracts, partnerships, vendor agreements, and operational legal documents.
- Ensure all contracts align with company strategy, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
**Legal Operations & Internal Capability Building**
- Lead and develop the Norway Legal team, setting clear standards, workflows, and performance expectations.
- Update legal documents and conduct legal training / awareness programs for employees to enhance legal compliance and risk awareness across the organization.
- Act as the central point of contact with external law firms, regulators, and authorities in Norway markets.
**Risk Management & Market Monitoring**
- Continuously monitor regulatory changes and legal developments in Norway markets that may impact GSM’s operations.
- Assess legal risks related to new business models, products, or market expansion and provide mitigation strategies.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law
- 10+ years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong experience in Netherlands regulatory environments, preferably within mobility, transportation, ride-hailing, logistics, energy, or tech-enabled service industries.
- Solid expertise in regulatory compliance, corporate governance, commercial contracts, and risk management.
- Proven ability to operate at Board and executive level, with strong business acumen and strategic mindset.
- **Fluent in English, Norwegian is a strong advantage**
