International Role - Based in Europe
Nortuna AS is developing a next-generation marine aquaculture platform with group headquarters in Norway and production operations in Cape Verde.
The company has developed proprietary methods for offshore seafarming of high-value marine species, including Atlantic Bluefin Tuna (ABFT) and Seriola rivoliana (Almaco Jack / Longfin Yellowtail / Hirenaga-Kanpachi), targeting the most demanding premium seafood markets worldwide.
With the first commercial volumes of Seriola rivoliana now approaching market readiness, Nortuna is entering a critical commercial phase. We are therefore seeking an experienced and internationally oriented Sales Director to lead the commercial development of our premium seafood portfolio and establish a strong market presence across global high-end seafood and HoReCa markets.

The Role
As Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing Nortuna’s global commercial strategy for premium marine seafood.
You will play a central role in positioning Nortuna as a trusted supplier of high-quality marine products to demanding international markets, with particular focus on the premium sushi, sashimi and high-end HoReCa segments.
Working closely with the company’s leadership and production teams, you will build long-term commercial partnerships with leading seafood distributors, importers and culinary customers across key global markets.
This role offers a unique opportunity to participate in building a new international supply platform for premium marine species.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Nortuna’s global commercial and sales strategy
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with premium seafood buyers, importers and distributors
- Establish and expand sales channels in key international markets
- Negotiate supply agreements and commercial contracts with strategic partners
- Develop pricing strategies aligned with premium market positioning
- Coordinate closely with production and logistics teams on harvest planning and supply availability
- Monitor global market trends, customer preferences and competitor activity
- Represent Nortuna at international seafood trade events and industry forums
Profile
We are looking for a commercially driven professional with strong industry insight and an established international network. The ideal candidate will have:
- 8–12+ years of experience in seafood sales or premium food distribution
- Strong network within international seafood distribution and import channels
- Experience with high-value species (Bluefin & Yellowfin tuna, seriola spp, Cobia,Turbot, Black cod or similar)
- Proven track record in building and expanding international commercial channels
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build long-term customer relationships
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in a fast-growing international environment
- High level of professionalism and credibility with demanding premium market customers
