**About The Role**
Join us as the Senior GIS Analyst in the City Design Branch and play a key role in delivering spatial services to support the policy agenda in the growing and vibrant City of Ipswich.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:



- Providing senior specialist GIS mapping and spatial analysis relating to City Planning operations, including strategic land use planning, infrastructure planning, cultural heritage and other disciplines
- Providing expert technical advice in relation to spatial analysis, mapping, automation and modelling to support the effective and efficient operation of the Ipswich City Plan 2025, the Ipswich Population Modeller and other business tools and systems
- Undertaking recording and ongoing maintenance, updating, integrity and security of all GIS and other computer modelling information

**About You**
To be successful in this role you will have:



- A tertiary qualification in the field of spatial science, information technology or associated discipline, or demonstrated ability
- Extensive experience in the implementation, management and utilisation of enterprise GIS platforms such as Esri ArcGIS Suite and other technologies, including GEOAI and 3D modelling / Digital Twins
- A high level of competency with SQL server management and advanced skills in SQL and FME
- Leadership and supervisor experience

The City Design Branch is responsible for setting the policies for the land use and form of our growing city. Our responsibilities are diverse, spanning the maintenance of the Ipswich City Plan 2025, the strategic alignment of the Local Government Infrastructure Plan, the conservation of heritage assets through the Ipswich Heritage Program, and other initiatives that enhance the quality of life for the Ipswich community.
