FRA is now looking for an initiative-taking and problem-solving station engineer for a varied job with responsibility for the local IT and radio environment on Gotland. Your assignment
In the role of station engineer, you belong to the technology department. The department's task is to provide FRA with the technical systems needed for the business. The department develops, manages and deploys new technical systems and manages the operation and maintenance of existing systems. The position as a station engineer is broad and your everyday life will be very varied. Your main tasks include:
Responsible for operation, maintenance and installation of hardware and software
Perform tasks within IT, radio and telecommunications, and measurement technology, with great variety and scope
Provide customer-oriented support and service

We are looking for you who have:
Technical post-secondary education or knowledge acquired through relevant work experience
Documented knowledge of network environments, AD, and experience working with switches, routers and firewalls
Experience in troubleshooting IT systems
B driving license
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We consider it an advantage if you have:
Knowledge of IT languages (Python, Java, Powershell, C#/C++, etc.)
Knowledge of Linux and Windows
Knowledge in radio and antenna technology, electronics and measurement technology
Experience with troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Logbook (windows), etc.)
Knowledge of concepts such as DevOps, Agile working methods, Kanban and Scrum.
It is important that you have a strong technical interest as the position requires a general technical breadth. Travel is included in the position.

The workplace is located in Visby. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA means placement in a security class. A requirement for employment is a successful security clearance with a register check. The security clearance will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
