Technical Safety Engineer

**Responsibilities**

- Perform detailed design and modification tasks on safety systems, including Passive and Active Fire Protection (PFP/AFP), Escape, Evacuation and Rescue (EER), and Safety Integrity Level (SIL).
- Conduct interdisciplinary coordination, checks, and verifications.
- Identify and facilitate required risk and verification activities such as HAZID, WEHRA, and design reviews.
- Provide input on cost and plan activities for the project's safety aspects.
- Follow up with clients, vendors, and third parties to ensure project alignment.
- Support and guide other engineers within the team.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement processes and experience transfer.

Required expertise

- Master's or Bachelor's degree in technical safety or a related engineering discipline. Relevant work experience may compensate for formal education.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience with offshore design and modification projects in Norway.
- In-depth knowledge of Ptil requirements, ISO standards, and NORSOK standards.
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with various stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high degree of self-learning and problem-solving abilities.

Language: Norwegian and English

Location: Bergen

Work schedule: Full-time

Duration: Temporary assignment from September 2026 to February 2028.
