Stillingsbeskrivelse

**Technical Support Engineer**

Oslo / Norway

Work on cutting-edge automated storage systems that protect valuable research and pharmaceutical compounds—systems that operate at temperatures down to -80°C. You'll build deep technical expertise in robotics and life sciences while maintaining a good work-life balance based in the Oslo area.

You'll work with technology that matters. These aren't just machines—they're storing potential cures and vital biological samples for clinical research worldwide. The technical challenges will sharpen your skills in mechanical and electronic troubleshooting, while direct customer interaction will develop your communication and relationship-building abilities.

Travel is part of the role—around 40% of your time across the Nordics (primarily Norway and Sweden)—but you'll be home regularly and have a company car for both work and personal use. The variety keeps things interesting without making travel feel like a grind.

**What you'll do**

Troubleshooting and maintaining these sophisticated automated freezers will develop both your technical depth and your problem-solving skills. You'll diagnose issues down to component level, which builds a level of expertise that's rare and valuable in the field.

Working directly with customers means you'll learn how to manage relationships, communicate technical concepts clearly, and handle pressure situations professionally. These soft skills will serve you throughout your career.

You'll also deliver user training sessions, which builds your teaching and presentation abilities, and you'll have full ownership of planning and documenting your work—giving you real autonomy over how you approach each project.

Internal training will be provided where you will be spending roughly 5 weeks abroad at their R&D sites to learn the ins- and outs of their products.

**What you'll need**

- A technical engineering degree or equivalent technical education
- A background in the life sciences sector is ideal but by no means required. Having some background in industrial refrigeration could also be meriting.
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own time
- A customer-focused mindset combined with entrepreneurial thinking
- Ability to stay calm and deliver results under pressure
- Fluent in English. Ideally fluent in Norwegian (or Swedish), but it is possible do perform the job in only English.

**About the company**

The company specialises in ventilators, automated pipetting, sample management, and process sensors—all technology that directly impacts healthcare outcomes.

They also build robots that store up to ten million compounds for pharmaceutical companies and biological samples at ultra-low temperatures for biobanks in clinical research. It's technology that supports breakthrough medical research happening right now. This is the area that you will be working with.
